It was our oldest child Avia, who was 9 at the time, that got us into growing mushrooms. Near the end of my fourth pregnancy she decided she wanted her own business and spent hours each day learning all about growing mushrooms. After weighing her options about starting up her own company or adding mushrooms to Canopy Gardens she made the decision to add mushrooms to our operation here. Its been a fun addition and we all are happy that she came up with the wonderful idea. We have several types of Mushrooms we currently grow and many more types in the works.

Our Current Varieties are:

• Lion’s Mane

• Shiitake

  We sell in bulk by the pound or in 8oz bags. We are still in the beginning stages of mushroom growing so we don’t always have everything available all the time but as we gain more experience we are hoping to make mushrooms a very large part of what we do here at Canopy Gardens. Unlike our tomatoes and cucumbers this will be a product that we will be offering year round.

For the 2026 season we have paired way back on mushrooms so that what we offer we have all the time. As we get mushrooms figured out better we will be adding other varieties back in.
